-- Tickets for the star-studded 2007 Food Network
South Beach Wine & Food Festival will fly
when they go on sale Monday, October 16, 2006.
Presented by Food & Wine magazine, the Food
Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival serves
up four delicious days (February 22 - February
25) of savory delights prepared by celebrated
chefs complemented by unrivalled wine and spirits
tastings led by winemakers, master sommeliers
and master mixologists the world over.
South Florida's already eclectic culinary scene
plays host to everyone's favorite events along
with a few new ones sure to tickle everyone's
taste buds. Among them, the Amstel Light Burger
Bash will pay tribute to America's favorite sandwich
at a deliriously fun and delicious tasting featuring
award winning burgers from the country's best
burger joints.
In addition, new festival title sponsor Food Network
adds even more flair to the proceedings with the
launch of the first ever Food Network Awards.
A host of Food Network personalities will make
appearances at the Awards show as well as the
Publix Grand Tasting Village and other events
throughout the weekend.
The wildly popular Moet & Chandon BubbleQ
is back with Al Roker at the helm while Wine Spectator's
Best of the Best brings together the best in the
food world with the best in the wine and champagne
world.
Wine will flow at the Miami Beach Convention Center
when the festival launches its new format of the
Wine Spectator Wine Seminars. Two Wine Spectator
Wine Seminar packages on Saturday and one on Sunday
will satisfy every wine lover's craving for the
incomparable merits of Chateau Haut-Brion, Chateau
Margaux, Chateau d'Yquem, Chateau Cheval Blanc,
and Marchesi Antinori to name just a few.
The Kellogg's Kidz Kitchen presented by Miami
Children's Hospital returns with an even bigger
lineup sure to earn every kid's stamp of approval.
Kids will light up with excitement as they learn
how to cook from their favorite chefs Emeril Lagasse,
Rachael Ray, Dylan Lauren, Giada De Laurentiis,
George Duran and Bobby Flay.

Gael Greene presides over a Tribute Dinner honoring
Le Bernardin's Eric Ripert and Maguy Le Coze on
Saturday, February 24. On Sunday, February 25,
Gael Greene joins Southern Wine & Spirits
of Florida and FIU to fete Martha Stewart and
Peter and Robert Mondavi at the festival's Tribute

of Florida International University's School of

more than 500 students volunteer to assist organizers

alongside some of the world's greatest celebrity
chefs and winemakers. In addition to receiving
a first-rate education in one of the country's
most diversified hospitality and tourism markets,
these students are provided the opportunity to
work hands-on with some of the industry's greatest
leaders through the Food Network South Beach Wine
& Food Festival.
